A thrilling educational history class for schools or themed events, this presentation allows for controlled and entirely safe arrangements for an audience to view live replica battlefield weaponry from the medieval era. Observe and discuss with some demonstrations the many varied weapon types and their developing effectiveness partly in respect to the improvements and quantities of armour through the period, but also the many social, economic and technological changes that occurred. Were some of the weapons quite as useful, practical or common as we might have thought? Maybe even misleading? This is an ongoing research area for many people. All part of our open discussions!
The class has been performed successfully at schools on multiple occasions, being most warmly received and not without a great deal of excitement! All venues are different and requirements vary so please get in touch for an initial discussion of your likely interest, and we will endeavour to consider it for a quote.
If you have a suitable, relatively secure grassed area where Dan can site his marquee arena with safety barriers and procedures, then it looks like it could be on! This most unusual spectacle is covered by Public Liability Insurance in concert with careful, proportionate procedures and activity risk assessment. All sharp or spiked weaponry are contained in easily lockable boxes/racks except for the time when the class is actually in progress, and then all weaponry is immediately afterward double locked in the company van for first convenient departure back to storage. All documentation can be seen upon request and should we proceed, an agreement document will be raised and signed by both parties for the specific uses of the replica collection on timetabled classes/events.
It sounds rather formal but it is all quite simple and straightforward, bringing a totally unique activity to your establishment for great educational and entertainment purposes! The use of audience safety barriers and a 'no man's land' perimeter ensures no accidents are going to be risked in the presentation. A class bringing their seats with them makes for ideal comfort & enjoyment.

It is much safer to demonstrate a two handed Hussite flail with the softer tennis ball version!
However, does the small flail with the spiked ball able to strike your own hand seem realistic?
As you can see there is a great and varied collection which can easily fill a two hour session.

Probably my favourite part - the archery. 48 arrow basket and my 100lb draw war bow on the table. Replica war arrows with a variety of heads at the tips intended for different purposes
More archery favourites with the crossbow collection. We can demonstrate the mechanism methods of spanning the crossbow - foot stirrup with belt pulley, goat's foot lever, windlass and cranequin. The crossbows are relatively low powered - no more than about 330lbs - to ease demonstration & safety.
